Building a reunion relationship may seem like it takes a great deal of work, and it does! There may be times you desperately want the relationship to progress at a faster pace. Relax and allow it to develop naturally. If you pursue your birth family member too aggressively, she may retreat. However, if you give her some space, she might feel freer to move in your direction.
