Beginning an adoption search is starting another chapter of your life. Take that first step confident that you are prepared and ready for whatever you find. You could get lucky and have nearly instant success. It may not happen that way, but it could. Nearly anything is possible in adoption search and reunion!

There are four distinct parts to most searches:
- Gathering information;
- Finding a name;
- Locating your birth family member; and
- Making contact with your birth family member.
